Don’t Just Work Hard, Work Smart.

Join Manchester Cycling Academy coaches for a reintroduction to Velodrome racing at the National Cycling Centre, Manchester on Sundays throughout February.

Suitable for riders aged between twelve and sixteen years old, (Youth B and Youth A) the School of Racing will feature a series of reintroductory activities for those who haven’t been on the track for some time and then race specific sessions after that.

If you haven’t been to one of our sessions before, every session will be based around you. You will get the opportunity to choose what activities you want to do such as timed flying laps, race specific skills, endurance efforts, sprint and pursuit starts and pursuit efforts.

For the initial number of sessions in February we are restricted to those who have a fixed wheel track bike. This is because of the ongoing work at the National Cycling Centre which restricts full usage of the facility.

As the Cycling Centre gradually reopens, you will be able to hire a track bike. Stay in touch with us to find out when the track bikes will be available to hire.

REGISTER HERE FOR PRIORITY BOOKING

We will split the riders into groups with a maximum coach to rider ratio of 1 to 10 so that everyone who attends will get detailed feedback from the coaches and will be able to ask them plenty of questions to help them improve.

The exclusive sales period is open now and will come to an end on Tuesday Jan 31st at 20.00. The exclusive sales period gives those people who sign up a 24 hour priority booking period. After this period ends, the remaining places will go on general sale.

Further timings of each session will be released in due course.

The three hour sessions feature:

  • Small groups with a maximum coach to rider ratio of 1/ 10
  • Fantastic coaching from experienced, DBS checked and qualified coaches from Manchester Cycling Academy
  • On track and off track activities
  • Sprint and endurance tactics
